Overview:

Motorcycle tour of Colorado's 14er's. This ride begins in Sedalia, visits the Royal Gorge in Canon City and then rides into Gunnison. From Gunnison, the ride turns north, runs past Paonia and Grand Mesa National Forest, catches I-70 and rolls into New Castle. From New Castle, the ride turns south on US Highway 82 to Carbondale, rides through Aspen, over Twin Lakes and up through Leadville. The ride ends with a jaunt past Climax Mine and a stint on I-70 back to the Metro area.

Directions:

From Denver, CO, take I-70 West, 170 miles, to exit 116/CO-82 E toward Glenwood Springs Colorado. Take a left turn onto CO-82, continue south through Glenwood Springs Colorado and into Carbondale Colorado. At Carbondale Colorado, take a slight right onto Highway 133. Continue south on Highway 133, through Placita Colorado and into Hotchkiss Colorado. At Hotchkiss Colorado, turn left (east) onto Highway 92. Continue south on Highway 92. Highway 92 will merge with Highway 50. Continue on Highway 50 east, through Gunnison and into Salida Colorado. At Salida Colorado, turn left (north) onto Highway 285. Continue north on Highway 285 through Fairplay Colorado and Bailey Colorado. Continue on Highway 85 to C-470 in Lakewood Colorado.
